There are many very worthwhile books that are currently out of print. Many of them esoteric books. This would normally mean that very few people would be able to find, or read, them. The advent of computers, scanning devices and the internet, has however enabled the finding, and reading, of such books to be done by an ever increasing number of people. Much of this is achieved via web site pages and/or E-Books.

E-Books are books that are in electronic form, usually provided as a text, or pdf, file for downloading or as web pages for online reading. These books can be read using a computer or other devices such as the Amazon Kindle, the Apple iPad and the Sony Reader. Though E-Books are not just copies of out of print and/or out of copyright books they do however provide many titles that fall into these categories.

Currently millions of books (many very old) have been scanned and are now available as E-Books, and/or as reprints. One can get an idea of what has been done by visiting such sites as Google Books , the Ebook and Texts Archive and the Open Library.

As an example, you might like to go to the Ebook and Texts Archive and look for the book written by a prominent New York trial lawyer from Buffalo called Edward C. Randall. (1860-1935). The book, called "The Dead Have Never Died" is available at their page here. In it are direct voice communications from people, such as a dead Civil War soldier, (chapter 2) who talks about his experience of dying in battle. They also have another of his books "Frontiers Of The Afterlife" here. A different site, Life After Death of the Physical Body has it available as a .pdf download here.

Other sites, such as the Project Gutenberg page offer over 38,000 free ebooks to download, in ePub, Kindle, HTML and simple text formats. The esoteric researcher can uncover many interesting works by using the right search criteria. For example, suppose you were to go to the Project Gutenberg Australia site. If you searched for "Sir Arthur Conan Doyle" then they would find many of his books.

Not only would you find some of his books on Spiritualism but you would also find some of his Sherlock Holmes, and other, books as well. A search on something like "Spiritualism" would also uncover some of his Spiritualist books. Such as The History of Spiritualism Vol I and The History of Spiritualism Vol II .

Apart from the large sites mentioned above there are a number of much smaller sites that mention one, or more, esoteric titles worth reading. Many of these titles are books that have been transcribed, through psychic means, from spirit world sources.

"Spirit Teachings" is available for online reading and/or for download available from the Sam Meilach site. This is a book that was written through the mediumship of William Stainton Moses during the 1870s. He also has the book "More Spirit Teachings", by the same author available.

"Life In The World Unseen" by Anthony Borgia is available for download from the Ghostcircle site. This was apparently communicated from Monsignor Robert Hugh Benson (1871-1914) who had been known to him prior to his death. Many years later (in 1951) he passed on more information to Borgia that became to be known as More About Life in the World Unseen. A third volume was dictated to Borgia, and completed in 1957. It was called Here and Hereafter. Two more downloads there of his are "Facts" and "Heaven And Earth". Some other books that they have are :

"Thirty Years Among the Dead" by Dr. Carl Wickland (1861 - 1945). Dr. Carl A. Wickland, was a member of the Chicago Medical Society, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the chief psychiatrist at the National Psychopathic Institute of Chicago.

"Life After Death" by Neville Randall. Randall wrote this book from direct voice recordings made at Leslie Flint's (1911-1994) seance-room. Sitters of Flint's, Betty Greene, and George Woods, copied their tape-recordings of communications for people who might be interested in them. There is more on the Woods/Greene collection of direct voice recordings here.

"The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ" is available for online reading at the Atma Jyoti Ashram web site. This was received through the mediumship of Levi H. Dowling, a pastor born in 1844 in Belleville, Ohio.

There is also the SpiritWritings.com web site. Some interesting books that they have are :

"After Death or Letters from Julia" Written through spirit guided writing by English journalist and editor W. T. Stead (1849 – 1912).

"The Blue Island". After Stead himself died in 1912, on the Titanic, he communicated information from the spirit world (also via spirit guided writing) via Pardoe Woodman.

"The Road to Immortality" by Irish medium Geraldine Cummins (1890-1969). More about her can be found here. The same site has also made an impressive start in making a mediums of the past directory.

More books/info, is list
